Packet loss every evening at the same time

Spent most of the weekend on this and I am still not sure I understand it. It works fine most of the time, but the edge cases are where I keep getting stuck.

Half the advice online is a year out of date, which is why I wanted a current thread. If someone has a link to a proper explanation, I will take it.

This is the bit people miss — region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

Slightly different take — the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Not the answer you want, but measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

Let us know which part worked.

The usual fix here is if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.

The usual fix here is ignore the loudest advice; the boring answer is usually the correct one here.

Counterpoint: ignore the loudest advice; the boring answer is usually the correct one here.

Had the exact same issue. measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

Agreed on most of this, except that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

Same boat here. worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

For what it is worth, nine times out of ten it is a driver or a background process, not the thing you suspect.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Slightly different take — the difference is real but small enough that you may not notice it while playing.

Depends on your setup, but broadly worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

Worth a shot before anything drastic.
