Controller drift — which brands held up for you?

Quick one for the people who have put more hours into this than me. What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in.

Quick one for the people who have put more hours into this than me. What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in.

I got it working once and then could not repeat it, which is the frustrating part. Let me know if more detail would help.

Same boat here. if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.

In my testing, that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

From experience, region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

Report back once you have tried it.

Worth checking first: you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

That fixed it for me, at least.

Agreed on most of this, except it depends heavily on your specific setup, so take any single number with a grain of salt.

From experience, the wiki number is theoretical; real results are always a bit lower.

Only partly related, but check whether an overlay is running before blaming the game itself.

Had the exact same issue. you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

Only partly related, but temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

Depends on your setup, but broadly do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

Counterpoint: if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Counterpoint: measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

That fixed it for me, at least.

The usual fix here is measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

I went through this last month. check whether an overlay is running before blaming the game itself.

I went through this last month. the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.
