Is Hero Wars still worth starting in 2026?

Spent most of the weekend on this and I am still not sure I understand it. It behaves as expected on one account and not on another, same device.

I do not want to sink more time or money into it before I understand what I am optimising for. Would rather learn the right way now than build a bad habit.
