Is Neverness to Everness still worth starting in 2026?

I searched first and found three threads that all contradict each other. Everything I read suggests it should just work, and for me it very much does not.

It works fine most of the time, but the edge cases are where I keep getting stuck. Curious whether that matches what everyone else is seeing.
