Old School RuneScape — Games you keep reinstalling every year

Adding my findings in case they help someone. It only shows up after about twenty minutes, which made it a nightmare to reproduce.

I assumed it was a known issue, but I cannot find anyone else describing it. Corrections welcome, especially if I got a detail wrong.

Same boat here. temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

Not the answer you want, but nine times out of ten it is a driver or a background process, not the thing you suspect.

Slightly different take — keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

This is the bit people miss — the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.
