Is Zenless Zone Zero CPU-heavy or is it just me?
I searched first and found three threads that all contradict each other. The in-game explanation and the actual behaviour do not appear to match.

From experience, do the cheap diagnostic first — it costs nothing and rules out half the causes.

Only partly related, but the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.

Adding to the above: it is almost always a setting rather than hardware, so try the free fixes before spending anything.

Counterpoint: the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.

Worth checking first: keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

This is the bit people miss — nine times out of ten it is a driver or a background process, not the thing you suspect.
Report back once you have tried it.
