Clan boss stuck at Hard — what am I missing? (follow-up)

Long-time lurker, first proper post. The patch notes hinted at this but never actually spelled it out.

I compared notes with a friend and we got completely different outcomes on similar hardware. If someone has a link to a proper explanation, I will take it.

This is the bit people miss — the community guide covers this better than I can, but the summary is to prioritise the basics first.

Counterpoint: that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

Same boat here. do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

Worth checking first: temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

Not the answer you want, but the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.

Let us know which part worked.

That fixed it for me, at least.

Had the exact same issue. nine times out of ten it is a driver or a background process, not the thing you suspect.

This comes up a lot, so: ignore the loudest advice; the boring answer is usually the correct one here.

Others may have a cleaner method.

Adding to the above: the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.

Report back once you have tried it.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, ignore the loudest advice; the boring answer is usually the correct one here.

Agreed on most of this, except ignore the loudest advice; the boring answer is usually the correct one here.
