Spider 15 team check before I commit gear

Low stakes question, but it has been bugging me for weeks. Once it clicked, it felt obvious, but getting there took far longer than it should have.

Low stakes question, but it has been bugging me for weeks. Once it clicked, it felt obvious, but getting there took far longer than it should have.

The in-game explanation and the actual behaviour do not appear to match. Would rather learn the right way now than build a bad habit.

Same boat here. keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.

Quick correction to the above: measure before and after, otherwise you are just guessing whether it helped.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Quick correction to the above: give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault.

Only partly related, but give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault.

This comes up a lot, so: you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

This is the bit people miss — do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

Depends on your setup, but broadly ignore the loudest advice; the boring answer is usually the correct one here.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

This comes up a lot, so: the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.
