   I want to get ahead of this before it becomes a habit. I got it working once and then could not repeat it, which is the frustrating part.

   This is the bit people miss — the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.

    This comes up a lot, so: keep a note of what you changed, otherwise you cannot undo it cleanly later.

    Had the exact same issue. the averages hide the problem; look at the one percent lows instead.
