Controller versus mouse and keyboard for the driving sections (high refresh rate)

Spent most of the weekend on this and I am still not sure I understand it. The default settings are clearly tuned for a different setup than mine.

Not the answer you want, but the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.
