Not a complaint, just genuinely puzzled by the behaviour. Two settings appear to interact in a way the menu does not hint at.

Counterpoint: region and server load matter more than most guides acknowledge.

This is the bit people miss — the difference is real but small enough that you may not notice it while playing.

Depends on your setup, but broadly you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

That fixed it for me, at least.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.
