Genshin Impact — Anti-cheat blocking launch after a Windows update

Been chewing on this for a while, so I figured I would ask here. The in-game explanation and the actual behaviour do not appear to match.

Turning one setting down fixed it, which raises more questions than it answers. Marking this solved once something actually works.

Only partly related, but worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

The usual fix here is the community guide covers this better than I can, but the summary is to prioritise the basics first.
