Technical Support

Purchase went through but nothing was credited

Spent most of the weekend on this and I am still not sure I understand it. Turning one setting down fixed it, which raises more questions than it answers.

The thing that keeps tripping me up is that everyone assumes you already know the basics, and the wiki is out of date. Hopefully this saves someone else the afternoon it cost me.

Agreed on most of this, except do not copy someone else’s config wholesale — start from defaults and adjust to your own setup.

Worth a shot before anything drastic.

Depends on your setup, but broadly if it only happens in one mode, that narrows it down considerably.

In my testing, the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.

Counterpoint: temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

Speaking as someone who got it wrong initially, temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

Good luck, it is a common snag.

Quick correction to the above: you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

Short version: it depends heavily on your specific setup, so take any single number with a grain of salt.

Same boat here. temperature is the usual culprit when performance degrades over a session.

The usual fix here is the defaults are conservative on purpose, so there is usually headroom to gain.
