Neverness to Everness

Combat depth after twenty hours — mobile side

Finally worked this out, so here is the write-up I wish I had found. It works fine most of the time, but the edge cases are where I keep getting stuck.

What confuses me is that it behaves differently depending on the order I do things in. Thanks in advance to anyone who chips in.

Quick correction to the above: it depends heavily on your specific setup, so take any single number with a grain of salt.

This comes up a lot, so: the difference is real but small enough that you may not notice it while playing.

Only partly related, but that behaviour is intentional, even though it is poorly explained in-game.

Had the exact same issue. the trick is to change one thing at a time and actually note the result before touching anything else.

For what it is worth, give it a clean reinstall before assuming the hardware is at fault.

Report back once you have tried it.

I went through this last month. ignore the loudest advice; the boring answer is usually the correct one here.

Depends on your setup, but broadly the community guide covers this better than I can, but the summary is to prioritise the basics first.

Let us know which part worked.

Worth checking first: worth testing on a second account to rule out something profile-specific.

For what it is worth, the wiki number is theoretical; real results are always a bit lower.

Adding to the above: check whether an overlay is running before blaming the game itself.

Not the answer you want, but the safe move is the reversible one — you can always undo it if it makes things worse.

Had the exact same issue. you get most of the benefit from the first adjustment; everything after that is marginal.

Good luck, it is a common snag.
